Grilling
Not sure how much of this was me inciting that Joe should celebrate for his birthday, or Madison wanting to celebrate his own birthday, but we had quite a little grill-fest in the office. Joe contributed some of his own steak to the pile of Flannery Beef and Snake River Farms that I contributed, Madison brought in some sirloin and some veggies to grill, Kennet made an amazing Japanese potato salad, and we had quite the feast at the office. Someone (I forgot to write down who, was it Bobby?) brought in Porto's potato balls and a cheesecake to celebrate the birthdays too, which was a nice touch.
As though I didn't eat enough, Sue's birthday was for dinner that night. Celebrated along with Ophelia and 4M at Boil Daddy for a proper Vietnamese-Cajun seafood boil. Good stuff, although we had a ton of french fries for the kids, maybe too much, along with fried fish for Maisey and chicken wings for everyone, but especially Milo. Two pounds of shrimp, two pounds of mussels, to which we added sausage, corn, and potatoes-- quite a meal.
Happy Birthday to the one actual birthday today, and two almost-birthdays!
