Pizzeria Sei
Finally managed to score a reservation at Pizzeria Sei's new location in Palms. It's a bit larger than the original one on Pico, with a similar vibe, and a somewhat different menu. Staff are still great, the little gem salad is a generous portion, and the broccolini is equally generous and even more tasty.
Went with one of the new pizzas, the 4 Culture Diavola: gocjujang romesco, iberico chorizo, tomato, maple syurp, stracciatella, aged balsamic, basil. It was a bit too sweet for me, with the maple syrup and what seemed like peppers or sun dried tomato both being on the sweet side, along with the aged balsamic contributing to just a bit of tanginess that resulted in too much going on. It looked delicious and I admire the creativity, but I think I prefer the more conventional pizzas at Pizzeria Sei.
With the crazy popularity of Pizzeria Sei, as much as I would like to go back, I do not expect that to be for a while. Reservations are just too difficult to get, and there is no shortage of good pizza these days.
