The little northern villages of Saksun, Tjornuvik, and Gjogv, plus a stop by the viewpoint to Risin og Kellingin on the way to Gjogv. Narrow one lane roads with lots of turnouts for opposing traffic, particular on the way to Saksun and Tjornuvik. Turns out you can actually hike between the two if you have time-- I sadly did not (nor was I prepared to do 14km round-trip!). Not a lot to any of these places, but they all have their own charm. Saksun in particular is a sandy bay in a mountain valley with barely a handful of sod-roof houses, the most unique experience of the three villages seen today.
Almost grabbed a hot chocolate and a waffle in Tjornuvik, but the one little outdoor cafe there was mobbed, and it felt like he was only taking cash, and I of course had no cash. Doh.
Risin og Kellingin may be a smaller set of sea stacks than some of the others, but as it's on the way to Gjogv, definitely take the couple of minutes at the viewpoint. Finally, Gjogv was clearly the largest and most touristy of the three towns, including actual restaurants and a decent sized parking lot. I'm not sure if it was the clouds and rain, but while it seemed fairly picturesque (especially after I switched to the wide angle) with the little creek running down the center, it didn't draw me to stay.
