Pi Day
Celebrating Pi Day with a small 5 inch cherry pi and a 3.14 inch mini apple pi. Because why not??
Plus some previous random fooding in there, bento box and onigiri from Come to Aunty"s at Westwood Farmers Market. It was pretty solid, especially the nicely done tempura shrimp in the rice ball, and considering how expensive food has gotten lately I have no complaints about value. That said even a nicely presented bento box, coming straight from a cooler, is harder to get excited about than a fresh cooked bento from an actual restaurant.
And lunch on Pi Day itself at GuYi Restaurant, across the street from Winston Pies. Unexpectedly good Sichuan food, pork blood/tripe/spam dish was a full dinner portion, but obviously (as it's Brentwood), things were priced accordingly. Not sure I'd make an effort to come back, but a decent option if you're in the area.
