After 3 days of backpacking, Korean BBQ sounded like the perfect dinner to replace all the calories burned. Yellow Cow in Gardena is excellent, with more generous ban chan spread than normal to satiate you til the meat arrives.
While the ban chan spread itself is more about variety than quality, the brisket, marinated galbi, and beef tongue are all delicious. I'd pick a favorite but it would be hard to decide! Add in the decent but forgettable kim chi stew and steamed egg, plenty of dduk bo ssam (rice wrap), and the generally solid service, and it's an excellent addition to the South Bay, far better than any other place we've tried in Gardena.
