Board Games
Paul insisted on Chinese food, and we were able to find Chinese food adequate to Petula's standards at one of the old standbys, Sam Woo BBQ. Excellent beef chow fun, BBQ pork, and roast duck-- so good we ordered take-out for the board game party after!
Lots of friends and fun to meet up with Petula while she was in town, and some great games. Sushi Go, Machi Koro, Splendor, and I think at least one other I'm forgetting all got quite a bit of play time. All were quite good, and definitely worth a replay! Christine brought over quite a few more games we never did touch, too... clearly need another board game night soon!
Brunch the next morning at Griddle Cafe, one of the LA breakfast spots notorious for delicious, and dangerously huge, pancakes. Petula rarely waits so long for food, but even she agreed it was worth the wait!
Wrapped up the night at Shin Sen Gumi Hakata Ramen. Solid ramne as always, and the bacon is definitely a better choice than the pig ear if you want a meaty, crispy topping.
