Holiday weekend fooding-- the last all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ trip of the year at Oo-kook, dessert at Iota Coffee and Bakery (they do an excellent job of presentation there, the dessert is great too!), and, earlier in the day, finally making it to Larchmont Bungalow for their excellent breakfasts.
Nom nom nom...
Brunch: Larchmont Bungalow is a charming place. French toast was good but portion was too small; bacon and eggs were both very tasty- nice meaty bacon. Chicken apple sausage was very high quality, but I think it needed a little more fat to be properly delicious. =P And the crowd-- woah-- where'd all these asians come from?
Oo-kook is one of the better AYCE kbbq places, if not among the best. The pork jowl is dee-lic-ous! Nevermind the rest of the food, which we already know is good!
Iota Coffee and Bakery after Oo-kook for lattes and desserts. Big and modern and trendy, with decent lattes and much, much better deserts. The chocolate cake was lighter and less sweet than expected (too sweet is always a concern), and the apple banana waffle was so good it literally vanished into our mouths before our eyes could register the fork moving!
