One more birthday cake over lunch... then time to save room for a visit to Animal, to get one last meal of foie gras before it's banned in California!
Chicken liver toast is incredible as usual. The shrimp and rabbit sausage spring roll was delicious but not quite as unique or delectable in taste. The salad was a kind of random collection of veggies, but once you discovered the hidden avocado it seemed like it was pretty good. Foie gras terrine and raspberry jam on toast is a great contrast, if ridiculously $*@! rich.
Foie gras biscut is another trip to decadence, and the most expensive loco moco I've ever had (yes, foie gras and quail egg loco moco) is damned good, although not worth the ridiculous price.
Desserts weren't bad, but honestly, you come here for the meat dishes and the foie gras, and try to avoid letting the incredibly noisy inside get to you. t'was definitely good, but very pricey...
