Maxima meet at Coyote Point pictures are up. Wow, I'm sunburned. Ok, bedtime... class tomorrow is going to be painful unless I can extract every possible minute of sleep between now and 6:20am!

So I go to Fry's today, looking for a CD stand that will fit my shelf. I measure the space and everything. Naturally, Fry's has only three CD stands that will fit my shelf space, and of the three, two of them will hold about 15~20 CDs in a space where I need to fit at least 30 CD's. So I buy two of the one that will fit... come home and find out I need space for like 50 CDs. o_O

Maybe I'll have to break down and buy a floorstanding CD tower...

Morality and risk... sheesh. Amazing how such a minor thing- the purchase of some clothes- can turn into such a big discussion. How can the purchase of an article of clothing be such an issue? Two nights ago, before my German 2 final... oh my, talk about a big discussion with my little sister over such a small initial issue. Risk and morality, the assumption of risk versus moral responsibility, and the differences between all of these things.

Over what boiled down to a $15 price difference on a skirt my sister bought from Express.

It's a New Order/Chemical Brothers piece of work. It's good. If you like New Order, run and go get it. If you don't, well I dunno- it's not an absolute favorite like Regret, but what can I say-- I could listen to Regret all day and still like it at the end of the day. I finally found a used copy of U2 - The Joshua Tree locally too, so my collection is getting a little more complete...

Of notable interest to many of you, I'm digital camera-less right now, so if you want to hang out and not risk having your picture taken, give me a call. Hopefully it'll be back soon. =(

Looked up changing the transmission fluid on my Maxima to Redline MT-90. It's gonna be expensive as hell, something like $50~60 worth of Redline... OUCH! I figured $40 or so, but this is a little much. Considering my existing fluid is only 20k miles old, maybe I should wait a little longer...

Erik's in Germany now with Jimmie, hopefully he's having fun and isn't too jetlagged. I'm still pushing through summer session, only 2.5 more weeks to go! I'm going to see if I can post trip pictures while I'm in Germany, but I'm not sure I will be able to do that since we'll be roadtripping and I won't have much internet access, if any.

Yet again, Hotmail really tries

Yet again, Hotmail really tries to be "spam mail." My mailbox there gets 140 spams in 14 hours. Not a record by any means, but it's amazing how much crap I get there...

101 degrees F yesterday, 99 degrees F today. It's way to f'ing hot here! Erik's dad had a tire blowout today... turns out those Firestone Wilderness AT tires really are defective... (or his could be a rare genuinely flawed one. The jury's still out on that.)

Finishing up a new system right now... almost an image of the Ars Technica Budget Box... works pretty well, although I will say that integrated video sucks for gaming, especially due to the shared-memory bandwidth as well as the IGP core itself being only GF2MX level.

Played some Counter-Strike today with Pete, Erik, Spencer, Spencer's sister and her friend... CS1.5 or whatever it is at now is pretty weird compared to what I'm used to: Beta 6, Beta 7, and 1.1... but I did ok at the internet place we were at, and my skill with the MP5 and Steyr Aug hasn't degraded too badly. Basketball afterwards was a mistake (99F+... + even hotter because it was on blacktop)... at least the air conditioner in the TL works very well, if you can stand the lousy 5-speaker Bose stereo setup. I've been spoiled by my PSB's at home and Soundstream SPL's in my car.

Meanwhile, school, cleaning my closet, and other stuff keeps me plenty busy. *sigh* I'll get some real time to relax sooner or later, but at this rate, "later" seems to be the most likely by far. Well. Back to studying.

Ack. Cursed Blogger problems on June 29th meant that post didn't get published. Hope you all had a Happy 4th of July, everyone! I'm still unpacking/repacking/throwing out old stuff. That, plus a trip to Los Angeles this weekend and plenty of summer session work to do should keep me busy this weekend...
